About Charlie
In 2019, Charlie deployed alongside Sean on a combat deployment to the Middle East. During a firefight, Charlie was killed in action while protecting Sean and other teammates. Charlie died saving the lives of fellow service members and will always be remembered as a hero.
Charlie lives on and became something more, a special messenger, carrying love, comfort, and connection between those separated by distance.
It was from this experience that Together with Charlie was born.
Charlie’s spirit lives on through a story of love, connection, and resilience. It reminds us that the bonds we share with those we love can endure across any distance, keeping families together, no matter how far apart they are.
Charlie was a Multi-purpose canine (MPC) that was introduced to the SEAL Teams as a puppy in 2017. He was named after Charles Keating IV, a SEAL, who was killed in action on May 3, 2016.
